MOR8, LOCATED IN PLURDALEN, NEAR MO I RANA
Due to frequent power outages in the MOR8 area we want to install a UPS.
After charging for 12 hours, battery voltage is 13.43 V, measured unloaded, at 22 deg. C.
From User Manual:
Sensitivity setting: HIGH -> 3 indicators flashing (yellow, red and red - number 2,3 and 4 counting from top)
The power supply wire pair and three sensor signal lines are protected by four Dehn "Blitzductor", KT, Typ VED, Art.no.: 919 410.

Specifications KT, Typ VED, Art.no. 919 410:
The units were installed several years ago when the seismometers were passive types. They should be replaced as soon as possible since they do not match the signal levels that the current seismometer (Nanometrics Trillium 120PA) use. There are many types of line protection devices available. We should consider units that offer more comprehensive protection. Also, the earthing system at the site must be checked before any new designs are introduced.
Dehn "Blitzductor", KT, Typ VED, Art.no.: 919 410 installed as of November 2011. Should be replaced as soon as possible.
The earthing system at the site must be checked, possibly by qualified electrician so we are sure it conforms to national electrical code.
The grounding wires are divided into two branches. One branch is terminated in grounding rod that seems to be insufficient (very short). The earth electrode terminating the other branch was not seen.
